Legislative Council Chairman T. Swamy Goud on Friday said he would apprise the Chef Minister, K. Chandrasekhar Rao, of the opposition to formation of Nirmal district.

He assured the protesting activists of Adilabad Parirakshana Samithi that he would explain in detail the points of objection raised by them.

Mr. Goud was stopped midway by the protesting activists and students while he was proceeding towards the local TNGOs Union building.

He patiently listened to the objections being raised by them.

Later, accompanied by Telangana Forest Minister Jogu Ramanna, TNGOs Central Union president K. Ravinder Reddy, honorary president Devi Prasad and Adilabad branch president S. Ashok, he laid foundation stone for the new building of the TNGOs Bhavan.

He also planted saplings while participating in the Telanganaku Haritha Haram programme.
