Cholamandalam promises Swachcha Karimnagar

The Cholamandalam Investment and Finance Company Limited (Chola), as part of its corporate social responsibility programme, has taken up an ambitious programme of Swachcha Karimnagar project in association with the NGO Bala Vikasa Social Service Society to provide quality drinking water and sanitation facilities to the people of Karimnagar district.

Accordingly, a memorandum of understanding was signed by the representatives of Chola and Bala Vikasa here on on Monday in the presence of Zilla Parishad chairperson Tula Uma and MP B Vinod Kumar.

Drinking water

The drinking water projects and sanitation works would be completed at a cost of Rs 97.33 lakh. by the NGO within three months.

As part of the project, the Any Time Water (ATW) through RO plant and self-cleaning e-toilet would be set up at the RTC bus station complex. The commuters can collect one litre water by inserting Re 1 coin into the machine. The RO plant would be established in Papannapalli village of Bejjanki mandal.

A borewell and toilet complex has been planned at a school in NTR colony in Koheda mandal. The Chola also chose Bejjanki cross roads, Gugilla and Vinjapalli villages for sanitation and ensure that every single household would have access to toilets.

Speaking on the occasion, Appreciating their sanitation measures as part of CSR programme, Mr. Vinod Kumar said that he would take the matter to the notice of Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao to extend the same in entire Telangana State.

Bala Vikasa executive director Singareddy Showri Reddy, Chola head agri-rural business Kannan, representatives of Chola Hemanth Kumar and Mohammed Mauvia were among those present at the programme..
