For someone who knows the value of making every move on the 64 squares, GM Dronavalli Harika made a truly symbolic gesture when she formally launched the portal Ýono (You Only Need One) of the State Bank of India here on Friday evening.

This was after Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitely launched it in Delhi earlier.

Harika, the suave but articulate chess wizard from the city, was immensely pleased with the experience presented by the SBI and felt the app was one thing that exactly all the clients should be looking forward to — one stop for everything and anything.

“This is a truly amazing app. I am sure in future I will be proud to be associated with this formal launch as it is bound to usher in a new era in digitalisation of not just banking services but also provide so many other platforms, including shopping, travel booking etc,” she said amid cheers from the select audience.

“This app will make our life easier and personally for someone so dependant on my dad for all these services, I feel more comfortable now with this which I had already downloaded in the morning itself,” said a smiling Harika.

Mr. J. Swaminathan, CGM, SBI, said the Yono app would trigger a digital revolution in the banking industry and would more importantly simplify smart phones like never before. "This app should attract youth in a big way," he added.

"This app has been designed to offer maximum customer convenience and the product has been developed by the SBI using artificial intelligence, predictive analysis and machine learning," Mr. Swaminathan said.

Mr. Prabod Parikh, GM (N.W-1), and Mr. U.N. Narayana Maiyya (GM N.W-2), graced the occasion.
