When the farmers tried to catch them, they were attacked by stones.

Later, the police tried to stop the vehicle at Ramayampet, Chegunta, but in vain.

The police also fired in the air to stop the cattle-lifters. Also when police tried to stop the vehicle at Toopran by erecting barricades, the cattle-lifters gate-crashed and ran away at the toll booth.
