The distribution of State-level employees between Andhra Pradesh and Telangana is turning out to be a time-consuming process with only 67 departments notifying cadre strength so far.

Another 20 departments are in the process of finalising the cadre strength as HoDs of both the States have realised some inconsistencies in deputation of staff to wings like Octopus and Greyhounds was done entirely from one zone and similar was the situation in the Excise Department.

Such issues are what coming in the way of cadre strength finalisation between the HoDs of two States, sources said leading to the delay. Once the cadre strength of every department gets concurrence of the two HoDs and notified, then alone the Kamalnathan committee will call for options subject to local candidature. Another important parameter for distribution of staff is the updated seniority list as options of the employees would come into play based on the seniority factor.

Then Form 3 will be uploaded to facilitate employees to give their options.

Meanwhile, the committee notified Form 2 for inviting objections related to cadre strength that were uploaded. The committee sought the comments of the departments on these objections before giving its decision.

The sooner the departments finalise cadre strength, seniority list and recommendations, the faster would be the staff distribution, the sources added.
