Bus stop needed near KIMS Hospital

March 03, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 07:44 am IST

There is no bus stop at the KIMS Hospital on Minister’s Road, resulting in hardship for scores of patients and attendants visiting the hospital daily. With buses not stopping near the hospital, the auto drivers are fleecing the patients and public. The RTC authorities should arrange a bus stop near the KIMS hospital.

No TTE arrived for checking tickets

On February 11 and 12, I travelled in Goutami Express between Secunderabad and Kakinada Port with PNR Nos.4203433345 and 4303316933 in S-13/B.No.12 and S-11/B.No.9 respectively. However, to the surprise of passengers in these two compartments, no TTE entered the coaches to check tickets even till the train reached the destination the following day.

Besides amounting to dereliction of duty on the part of the TTE, the passengers had to wait for him till midnight hoping to have some sleep afterwards at least without interruption.

I wonder whether there is any practice / rule that the TTE should board the train at the starting station and start checking at least from the second or third station and ensure that unoccupied berths are allotted to the RAC / waitlisted passengers as the case may be.

Pandals should not block roads

The government and the police have to take action to prevent blocking of roads due to ‘pandals’ and other functions besides ensuring that such occasions do not generate garbage and noise, defeating the purpose of initiatives like ‘Swachh Bharat’.

The government should penalise and curtail such practices for the betterment of citizens.
