: The migration from the YSR Congress seems to be continuing with the Bobbili Rajas reportedly contemplating joining the Telugu Desam Party.

YSR Congress MLA from the Bobbili constituency R.V. Sujay Krishna Ranga Rao is likely to cross over to the ruling party soon.

The buzz in the TDP is that the Bobbili Zamindar has already met Telugu Desam Party general secretary Nara Lokesh recently and held discussions on his joining the party.

The MLA and his brother Baby Nayina reportedly convened a meeting of their followers to discuss the pros and cons of leaving the YSRC. Their followers overwhelmingly spoke in favour of quitting the party.

Mr. Ranga Rao, belonging to the Congress, joined the YSR Congress party in 2012. At that time also, the brothers conducted a meeting and elicited the views of cadres. The brothers have always made it a point to consult their followers in all the three constituencies in which they have a strong base, before taking any decision.

But, as political developments unfolded, former PCC president Botcha Satyanarayana joined the YSRC and this was opposed tooth and nail by the Bobbili MLA and his brother.

The overwhelming feeling in the YSRC was that Mr. Satyanarayana’s entry would prove costly to party president Y. S. Jaganmohan Reddy. At that time there were speculations that the duo might join either the saffron party or the yellow brigade.
