Blood donation by NSS unit of KITS

A mega blood donation camp was organised by NSS unit of Kakatiya Institute of Technology & Science (KITS) where students

donated 228 units of blood here on Monday.

The camp was organised in connection with the Vivekananda’s 150th jayanthi supported by K Chandrashekar Reddy, K Ram Reddy, G Venkat Reddy Reddy and K Rajeswar of 1983-87 batch. Chief guest at the camp and member of college administrative committee, Dr V Vishwanath Rao appreciated the efforts of faculty and students.

He appreciated G Rajender, associated professor for donating blood for the 16th time and presented a momento to him. He advised to the

students to maintain the health by doing Yoga, consumer green food, avoid junk food and enjoy music. The Indian Red Cross Society chairman T Ravinder Rao said that every donor gets an accidental insurance of rupees one lakh as a complement and permanent disablement policy for the donor from warangal Red cross society. Principal Prof. K. Ashoka Reddy, NSS program officers V. Chandrashekar Rao and Y. Bhavani, PRO D Prabhakara Chary and others were present.
