Bhatti slams TRS Government

April 18, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:41 am IST - NIZAMABAD:

TPCC working president and MLA Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka slammed the TRS Government for its alleged inaction and delay in coming to the rescue of farmers who suffered huge loss following the unseasonal rains.

On one hand the government was harping on creating ‘Bangaru Telangana’ but on the other it has not put in place a proper system to assess the crop damage and help the farming community to tide over the crisis, he said.

Addressing a press conference here on Friday after going around the villages in four Assembly constituencies where the rain caused enormous loss to farmers, he said that his party would exert pressure on the Government to pay suitable compensation besides ensuring release of crop insurance. Appealing to farmers not to take any extreme decision, he said the Congress would always be with them. “Our party will not remain silent if the Government fails to give sufficient compensation to farmers,” he said.
