An autorickshaw rally was organised by the Traffic Police here on Sunday to promote Haritha Haram, the ongoing sapling plantation drive. The rally was flagged off by Minister for Roads and Buildings T. Nageswara Rao.
Khammam MLA P. Ajay Kumar, Khammam DSP K. Suresh Kumar, Traffic CI P. Naresh Reddy and others were present.
Saplings were distributed free of cost to the autorickshaw drivers at a meeting held in this connection at the Pavilion Grounds here.
Stickers
Addressing the three-wheeler drivers, the speakers exhorted them to affix the Haritha Haram campaign stickers on their vehicles and become active partners in promoting the green drive.
