Ashok Bhushan sworn in Chief Justice

Acting Chief Justice of the Kerala High Court Ashok Bhushan was sworn in Chief Justice by Governor P. Sathasivam at a simple function at Raj Bhavan here on Thursday.

The warrant of President Pranab Kumar Mukherjee appointing Justice Bhushan as the Chief Justice of the Kerala High Court was read out by Chief Secretary Jiji Thomson. Mr. Sathasivam administered the oath of office. Justice Bhushan is the 31st Chief Justice of the Kerala High Court.

He was appointed Acting Chief Justice in August 2014 following the transfer of the then Chief Justice Manjula Chellur to the Kolkata High Court.
