Army recruitment rally begins in Kothagudem

A week-long Army Recruitment Rally for aspirants from 10 districts of Telangana State got underway in Kothagudem town in Khammam District on Thursday.

Youths from all over Telangana, those who have applied for solider (technical) posts online, participated in the recruitment rally on the inaugural day.

Kothagudem MLA Jalagam Venkat Rao flagged off the 1.6 km run held as part of the physical test for the aspirants of the soldier technical posts at Prakasam Stadium in the coal town on Thursday morning.

Brig. Sangram Dalvi, Deputy Director General Headquarters Recruiting Zone, Chennai, Colonel A K Rohilla, Director, Army Recruiting Office, Secunderabad, supervised the recruitment process.

The rally is being conducted in the coal town by the Secunderabad-based Army Recruiting Office to recruit eligible candidates for various posts in the soldier category.

Little over 36,000 aspirants from all over Telangana State had registered their names online for the Army recruitment rally.
