Irrigation Minister T. Harish Rao said that Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has been bringing revolutionary changes in the field of health.

Addressing a gathering after formally launching ANM OnLine (Anmol) android application along with Health and Family Welfare Commissioner Vakati Karuna here on Wednesday, Mr. Harish Rao said that the district was selected on pilot basis for implementation of the project. He said that it was the responsibility of ANMs and Anganwadis to create awareness on normal deliveries among the public. The Minister said that ‘Ánmol’ would provide transparency in treatment at hospital and staff is being provided training in uploading the data and this programme is being implemented by Madhay Pradesh and Telangana only.

Informing that deliveries have increased in government hospitals after introduction of KCR kits, the Minister said that Siddipet hospital has registered as many as 503 deliveries in the month of July followed by 483 in the month of August. “The perception about government hospitals has changed among the public and now majority are preferring to come here and get deliveries. C-section which once stood at 75 per cent had fell down to 55 per cent and it has to be brought down to 25 per cent,” said Mr. Harish Rao adding that the amount of ₹ 12,000 being extended to the pregnant women is being deposited in their accounts directly. He promised to extend cash incentive for those who get cent per cent deliveries in hospitals.

Referring to the dialysis centre opened at the hospital recently, the Minister said that single filter is being used for patients and establishment of the centre has reduced the treatment cost as they need not go to Hyderabad or Karimnagar.
