Fans line up at the Gymkhana Ground outlet on Tuesday to buy tickets for the India-Australia T-20 international to be played at Rajiv Gandhi Stadium on October 13.

Hyderabad Cricket Association president G. Vivekanand said that they were keen to make the atmosphere spectator-friendly inside the Rajiv Gandhi Stadium (Uppal), venue of the T-20 international between India and Australia on October 13 starting at 7. 00 pm.

“As per Supreme Court directions, we have ensured that there are no complimentaries for the galleries on both Eastern and the Western Stands totalling to about 24,000 tickets. The tickets have been made available both online (sold out) and at the Gymkhana Ground outlet,” he said.

The HCA chief also said that as on Tuesday morning tickets worth ₹ 3.40 crore were already sold out and that they hoped to make a reasonable profit which in turn would be spent for the development of the game in the districts.

Free water

All the fans in the 39,000-capacity stadium would be provided drinking water free of cost and even the 400 vendors, who were given the rights to sell eatables and soft drinks, would be kept under a watch by the ‘ambush’ parties to be set up by the Police to ensure they do not charge exorbitant rates.

“All the items for sale by the vendors and the price list will be displayed prominently in the stands so that the fans can bring to the notice of the authorities if anyone is violating the guidelines,” the HCA president said addressing media here on Tuesday.

Adequate facilities

Regarding the basic amenities at the venue for the fans, HCA secretary T. Seshnarayan said that 160 maintenance staff has been hired to ensure hygienic conditions near the public amenities.

“As far as parking is concerned, for the 5000 capacity at the South-end of the Stadium, enough car parking space is provided at the NSL and also inside the venue,” the HCA Secretary said.

The HCA officials also appealed to the fans to come to the match well in advance to avoid traffic jams and also use the public transport as RTC is plying special services on the match-day.

All former and current Hyderabad players including women cricketers and the ex-office bearers will be issued complementaries and would be given due respect, the officials said.
