‘All parties should work together for the development of Telangana’

June 03, 2014 09:51 pm | Updated November 17, 2021 04:00 am IST - WARANGAL:

TRS president and Chief Minister of Telangana K. Chandrasekhar Rao should take other political parties into confidence to achieve development in the new State, said CPI State secretary Chada Venkat Reddy.

Now that elections are over, it is time for all political parties to work together to fulfil the aspirations of the people of Telangana. The parties should stop provoking each other and instigating people for political mileage.

TRS is not the only party that worked for a separate Telangana. It is the hard work of many individuals and organisations that resulted in separate statehood for the region, Mr. Chada Venkat Reddy pointed out.

In Telangana, there are 25 lakh motors in the agricultural sector and farmers need uninterrupted power. As of now, there is severe shortage of power. Similarly, lakhs of people are waiting to own a house under the housing programme of the State government.

The government should come out with proper plans and take the advice of political parties like CPI which is ready to extend support, the CPI State secretary said.

Referring to the Modi government at the Centre, Mr. Venkat Reddy said the Central government was backed by capitalists like Adani and others who were only interested in promoting their own agenda. One should wait and see till what extent Mr. Modi is able to deliver on his promises. The first move by Modi is against Telangana. He issued an ordinance transferring mandals in Bhadrachalam to Andhra Pradesh. It is a hasty decision and the CPI will stand by its tribal people, he said.

Assistant secretaries Palla Venkat Reddy and Siddi Venkateswarlu and district secretary T. Srinivasa Rao and others were present.
