AIIEA zonal meet from tomorrow

All India Insurance Employees’ Association will hold a south-zonal level conference on October 3 and 4 on Kakatiya Medical College campus.

General Insurance Employees’ Association State secretary S. Sailu, district secretary M. Solomon Raju and others said that delegates from Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Telangana and Kerala would take part in the conference to deliberate on problems facing the insurance sector and its employees.

The employees have been demanding merger of all insurance companies in public sector, revision of wage pending since 2012, extending pension option to employees under the 1995 pension scheme and are opposing the increase of foreign direct investment (FDI) in the insurance sector.

The leaders of AIIEA and south zone leadership from 8 regions covering the entire south zone and others will attend the conference.
