Barring Wankidi mandal, rainfall occurred across Adilabad district on Saturday-Sunday night leading to a good flow of water in hill streams for the first time this monsoon. Nirmal and Laxmanachanda mandal recorded about 6.5 cm of rain.

Other mandals like Sarangapur and Dilawarpur in Nirmal Revenue Division also received copious rain. Rainfall was also intense in the hilly areas of Neredigonda mandal which brought water into the dried up Wankidi stream.

The waterfall near Bandamregadi came alive for the first time this season thanks to water flowing in the Wankidi stream. However, the famous Kuntala waterfall in the same mandal is still dry. Hill streams also started to flow in Jainoor and Kerameri mandal following the rains. Some places also received a brief spell of rain on Saturday.
