The Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishat (ABVP) on Tuesday enforced a bandh of educational institutions in the district which was partial with colleges in rural areas functioning normally.
Organisation cadres went around town closing the colleges in urban centres including Adilabad town where they also torched an effigy of Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao.
The activists demanded release of dues on account of fee reimbursement.

Demanding the State Government to implement fee reimbursement without any delay, the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishat (ABVP) observed closure of colleges across the district on Tuesday.
Some of the colleges have informed the students in advance as a precautionary measure that the colleges will be closed. ABVP State committee member Sarvesh has alleged that thousands of students are facing mental stress as the government failed to issue clear guide lines about fee reimbursement. He warned that agitation would be intensified if the fee reimbursement arrears were not paid immediately.

Police here on Tuesday used mild force to disperse the agitating students under the banner of Akhila Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad demanding that the Government take immediate decision on fee reimbursement and also on the conduct of counselling for admissions for the EAMCET qualified candidates.
Effigy burnt Earlier the ABVP activists went round colleges and ensured their closure. They came in a procession to the dharna chowk and burnt the effigy of Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao in protest against the delay in release of fee reimbursement.
Activists arrested The police arrested a dozen protesters and set them free after execution of personal bonds.
