21 ICFF films to be screened in Bhavani Theater in Kazipet

Films are a mix of the good and the bad and one must leave the bad behind and absorb only the good, music director and actor R. P. Patnaik said.

He was addressing students at the inauguration of the 20th International Children’s Film Festival at Bhavani Theater in Kazipet here on Wednesday.

Mr. Patnaik explained the history of international film festival and lauded the decision of the State government to conduct the festival in all the districts across the State. The international film festival helps understand a wider world.

“Some 1400 films from 109 countries are being screened. Some of the selected films from this list are being screened for you. Because of the decision of the State government, the children from the districts are able to watch world acclaimed message oriented films. Only a film can capture life and present it in the best form,” he said.

District Revenue Officer Harisingh said as part of the film festival 21 films would be screened with daily three shows till November 14.

District Education Officer Narayan Reddy said the students can learn the traditions and lifestyle of other countries. As many as 14,000 students from Warangal rural district are going to watch the films, he said.

Young actor from Warangal Himansee Chowdary, DPRO M. Kiranmayee, Khadi Village Board regional manager V. Santhosh and others were present. At a programme at Warangal, collectors P. J. Patil and K. Amrapali and others attended the inaugural programme.
