An Adivasi youth of Kaliveru in Charla mandal, who was allegedly kidnapped by suspected Maoists near the Telangana-Chhattisgarh border on Wednesday evening, was reportedly found murdered at Yerrampadu in Charla mandal on Thursday afternoon.

According to sources, Madakam Tirupati, 20, of Kaliveru, was allegedly abducted by suspected rebels while he was returning home after visiting his relatives at a forest fringe village on the Chhattisgarh side of the inter-State border.

Meanwhile, the body of a youth suspected to be that of Tirupati was found lying on the periphery of Yerrampadu village in Charla mandal by some local tribal people on Thursday afternoon.

The local police are trying to establish the exact identity of the body when reports last came in.

It may be noted that suspected Maoist militia members allegedly abducted a tribal youth of Yedullagudem in the neighbouring Chintur mandal of the residuary Andhra Pradesh, suspecting him to be a police informer.
