Bhadrachalam, the abode of Lord Sitarama, sparkled with a golden hue of a spectacular array of thousands of ‘diyas’ during the Laksha Deepothsavam ceremony held in the temple town on Thursday evening.
Scores of women clad in traditional attire lit the oil lamps in front of the temple complex and adjoining Midhila Stadium in the evening, marking the celebration of the ceremony.
The mega religious event was organised by the Endowments Department in association with a Bengaluru-based religious and charitable trust.
The entire temple premises and the Midhila Stadium came alive with thousands of women from the State and elsewhere participating in the grand religious event.
Earlier, the women devotees drew ‘rangolis’ in impressive patterns resembling Trident, Swan and other images at the venue.
The programme went on late into the night.
