Telangana Budget: ‘A balance between development, welfare’, says CM

Will trigger growth, says KCR

Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao has said the budget introduced by the Telangana government for 2018-19 with an outlay of ₹1.74 lakh crore will ensure balanced development of all sectors and welfare of all sections of society.

He complimented Finance Minister Eatala Rajender for presenting a balanced budget keeping in view the resources of the State, its requirements and government’s objectives. The budget would help in implementing the State’s development plans, he said.

Expressing his happiness over generous allocation to the agriculture sector on which majority of population depends for a living, Mr. Rao said major allocation for irrigation sector, crop investment support scheme and 24x7 free power to farming sector would help in effective implementation of government programmes for the development of agriculture sector.

Meanwhile, the Chief Minister also appreciated Mr. Ramakarishna Rao, Principal Secretary, Finance, G.R. Reddy, Advisor, Finance, for formulating the annual financial statement reflecting the State government’s vision.
