NTPC conducts rural sports meet

The NTPC-Ramagundam, under its corporate social responsibility (CSR) programme, organised a rural sports meet on Tuesday at the MG stadium in the residential colony of the township.

Inaugurating the event, general manager (project) M.N. Prasad highlighted the importance of sports and hoped that the event would help create healthy competition among students.

As many as 330 students from 16 government schools of Ramagundam, Palakurthy and Antergaon mandals participated in the event.

The competitions that were organised were volleyball for boys, kabbadi for girls, and 100 meters, 200 meters and 4x100 meters run for both boys and girls. The programme was organised by the Sports Council of NTPC-Ramagundam.
