4,200 turn up for Army recruitment

A total of 4,200 aspirants turned up for selection to the posts of soldier (clerk) and soldier (nursing assistant) on the second day of the Army Recruitment Rally in Kothagudem on Friday.

As many as 3620 candidates were allowed to participate in the running test after height and chest measurement.

A total of 506 candidates qualified in the running test. Of these, 349 candidates cleared the medical tests, sources said

Physical tests would be held for the already registered candidates of Adilabad, Nizamabad and Medak district for the posts of soldier (general duty) at Prakasam Stadium in the coal town on Saturday.

Around 6258 candidates from the three districts applied online for the soldier (general duty) posts.
