400 CCTV cameras to be set up in sensitive towns ahead of Ganesh festival

As many as 400 CCTV cameras will be put up at different places in communally sensitive towns in view of the ensuing Ganesh festival.

There will be continuous monitoring through these cameras in order to prevent any untoward incident.

Adilabad Superintendent of Police Tarun Joshi chaired a peace committee meeting, which was held in Adilabad on Saturday.

He warned organisers of Ganesh mandaps against indulging in any illegal activities during the festival.

The SP said sufficient number of policemen would be deployed to avert any untoward incident.

The security forces will also help build confidence among people during the period, he added.
