2 youth electrocuted in Khammam maize field

Two youths were electrocuted in a maize field at Parkalagandi village in Dammapeta mandal in the wee hours of Wednesday.

According to police sources, Lakshman, 23, and Nagaraju, 25, of Gopalapuram died on the spot after coming in contact with an electrical wire in the field on the outskirts of Parkalagandi in the small hours of the day.

The police suspect that the duo may have been electrocuted while laying an electrical wire around the maize field to trap wild animals.
