Construction of permanent buildings for the NID had already been entrusted to the National Buildings Construction Corporation, he said.

Meanwhile, the State government has resolved to expedite land acquisition for the proposed National Investment and Manufacturing Zones (NIMZ) at Kalikiri in Chittoor and Valmikipuram in Prakasam district and expansion of Krishnapatnam port. It also laid renewed emphasis on promoting industries in areas falling under the Visakhapatnam - Chennai and Bangalore - Chennai industrial corridors.
