Pro-Telangana youth, Siripuram Yadagiri alias Yadaiah, who immolated himself near Osmania University campus on Saturday, succumbed to his burns in the early hours of Sunday.

Angry students of Osmania University pelted stones at police and damaged property after Yadagiri attempted suicide on Friday. The 19-year-old youth admitted in Apollo-DRDO hospital died around 2 a.m. His body was shifted to his Nagaram village in Maheswaram mandal of neighboring Ranga Reddy district.

While the Osmania Unviersity campus that witnessed clashes between police and students till late on Saturday, remained calm with students planning to take out a peace rally, villagers of Nagaram protested the 'indifference attitude of politicians and public representatives of Telangana region' by preventing them to pay homage to the youth when they came to Nagaram on Sunday morning.

His final rites would be performed in the afternoon.
