A 12-year-old boy received gunshot injuries when he was playing with the service revolver of his friend’s father at the latter’s place in Cuttack on Saturday.
The boy was stable and undergoing treatment in a private hospital, police said.
According to the police the incident occurred at his friend’s house at High Court Colony under Badambadi Police Station here. While playing, the two located the service revolver of the friend’s father, who is an inspector with the Border Security Force. Biranchi Narayan Pati, the inspector of the Badambadi Police Station, said , the gun went off as the two played with and a bullet hit the victim’s head. The police have seized the weapon and file a case.
