Youth urged to fight terrorism

January 26, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:44 am IST - PATHANAMTHITTA:

All India Sunni Jam-iyyathul Ulama general secretary Kanthapuram A.P. Aboobacker Musaliyar on Saturday called upon the youth to work against terrorism and extremism.

He said Islam had only taken steps to resist wars and even then it was very much particular about not to hurt innocents, women and children.

Unfortunately, certain quarters were campaigning to portray Islam as a religion of terror, disregarding this sublime face. Islam stood for peace, love and compassion.

The youth should reach this message to every household and counter the move to portray Islam as one that unleashes terror.
