World Ozone Day rally taken out

The Eco Club of St. Mary’s College here observed the World Ozone Day on Wednesday.

Students took out a cycle rally as part of the programme to raise awareness of the importance of ozone layer among the public.

Hundreds of students participated in the rally, which was flagged off by Superintendent of Police Ashwin M. Kotnis, holding placards stressing protection of the environment.

The rally was also escorted by a team of police officers along with the support of ‘108’ ambulance.

The programme was presided over by Rev.Sr.S. Alphonse Roselin Mary, Principal of the college. Rev.Dr.Sr. Jessie Fernando, Secretary, and organiser of the Eco Club M. Glory were present.
