Welfare association plea

May 06, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:35 am IST - Tirupur:

Nallur Consumer Welfare Association (NCWA) has petitioned Collector G. Govindaraj urging the administration to carry out massive inspection to penalise the people who made illegal construction of buildings.

N. Shanmugasundaram, the president of the NCWA, said the construction of buildings, either the extension of existing structures or new ones, without the permission of authorities concerned like Local Planning Authority had once again become a menace in Tirupur city.

The NCWA also wanted the administration to conduct checks at matriculation schools and housing complexes as extension of buildings were carried out in many places.
