Voters enrolment camp from October 4 to 14

The next special camp will be held at all the polling stations from October 4 to 14 to enable eligible voters to enrol their names in the electoral roll, according to Collector N. Venkatachalam.

Inspecting a special enrolment camp here on Sunday, he said that enrolment, change in name and address and correction in voter details could be done. Applicants could submit duly filled-in forms in the office of the RDO, tahsildar and municipal commissioner concerned and at respective polling stations between 9.30 a.m. and 5 p.m., he added.

He appealed to NGOs and college students to create awareness among people of the importance of enrolling names in the voter list.

The Collector inspected polling stations at Sukkuvadanpatti, Bommaiyagoundenpatti and Kodangipatti.

Dindigul

Arrangements were made at all the 2,022 polling stations in the district to enable eligible voters to enrol their names. Twenty-seven stations were created in addition to the existing ones for the convenience of voters. There were 310 polling stations in Palani, 273 in Oddanchatram, 316 in Athoor, 258 in Nialkttai, 299 in Natham, 268 in Dindigul and 298 in Vedasandur.

Collector T.N. Hariharan also inspected a few centres in Dindigul on Sunday morning.
