Collector N. Subbaiyan flagged off a voter enrolment awareness rally from the Old Collectorate Museum here on Tuesday.

Dr. Subbaiyan pointed out that taking January 1, 2016, as the qualifying date, new eligible voters were enrolled at special camps at the polling stations in the district till October 14. The draft electoral rolls after the special summary revision have been placed at the respective polling stations for public view when corrections and alterations would be entertained in the prescribed forms such as 6, 6A, 7, 8, and 8A.

There was adequate stock of various forms with all the polling station designated officers on duty and the public could make use of them to apply for the desired changes, the Collector added.

RDO Jaibeam, and tahsildar Suresh were present in the rally in which students went round the main thoroughfares of the town to create awareness on enrolling as voters.
