Voter awareness

An awareness programme on exercising franchise was organised among the traders in the town. S. Meenakshi, District Revenue Officer, distributed seals containing slogans on exercising the franchise. The official convened a meeting of courier service operators and hoteliers and explained to them to affix the seal on the envelopes and service bills.

737 applications received

As many as 737 applications have been received from the Voters Facilitation and Service centres functioning at the Collector’s Office and taluk offices in the district. K. Nandakumar, District Collector, in an official release, said that 208 applications pertained to inclusion of names and 199 forms related to correction in names or address.
