Voter awareness programme held

As part of the Systematic Voter Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) programme, leading Tamil daily from The Hindu Group of Publications The Hindu Tamil was distributed free of cost to the public with voter awareness stickers here on Thursday.

The Regional Transport Officer R. Rajinikanth inaugurated the distribution at the Collectorate signal.

Mr. Ranjinikanth urged the voters to participate in the democratic exercise without fail on May 16. He spoke about ethical voting and insisted on the voters not to accept money for vote.

Motor Vehicle Inspectors Manickam, Sengottuvel and Ananth accompanied Mr. Rajinikanth.
