In a bid to raise awareness about the significance of casting votes in the forthcoming Assembly polls, scheduled on May 16, a programme was organised by volunteers of Nehru Yuva Kendra in association with the NSS unit of Kamaraj College here on Saturday. Volunteers staged a series of programmes through dance appealing to the people to exercise their franchise. K. Jawahar, District Coordinator, Nehru Yuva Kendra presided over the programme held at Kamaraj College. M. Pradeep Kumar, Collector (Training) presented an award to Tiruchendur-based Mother Teresa Social Trust in appreciation of the voluntary services rendered to the society for 2014-15. Vaanmathi, NSS Coordinator of Kamaraj College, students and faculty members attended.
