A memorandum of understanding (MoU) has been signed between V.O. Chidambaram College here and Sokoto State University, Sokoto State, Nigeria, here on Thursday.
C. Veerabahu, Principal, signed thememorandum of understanding in the presence of P. Ashok Kumar, Head, Department of Microbiology and Director, Division of General Studies, Sokoto State University. This university has a School of Basic Studies, Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, Faculty of Education and Faculty of Science.
The memorandum of understanding has been signed with the objective of establishing a mutually beneficial relationship on academic and research cooperation such as collaborative research programmes, exchange of educational programmes, faculty and student exchange programmes and exchange of teaching and learning material.
It begins with cooperation between postgraduate and research department of botany, V.O. C. College, and Department of Microbiology, Faculty of Science, Sokoto State University, on Ethnomedicine. V.R. Mohan, Associate Professor and Head, Department of Botany, will represent the college.
The faculty members of PG and Research Department of Botany were present.
