VIT facilitates academic migration

September 04, 2013 11:33 am | Updated June 02, 2016 09:09 am IST - VELLORE:

The VIT University has introduced a new scheme facilitating its students to shift from one branch to another during their course of study this year. In the new scheme, a student has to take two subjects in the branch he wants to migrate to at the end of first year.

A rank list would be prepared based on the mark he/she had scored, and the top scorers would be given preference for migration. “We will allot two per cent additional seats in every programme for these students to join so that it does not affect the existing students”, Chancellor G. Viswanathan said.
