April 18, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:42 am IST - Tiruvannamalai:

People from the villages of Vinnuvampattu, Ernamangalam and Alangaramangalam Pudur near Kalasapakkam staged a ‘waiting agitation’ in collectorate here on Friday demanding issuance of house site patta.

They said they had been putting forth the demand for a long time and wanted an immediate solution. M.Veerabadhran, state committee member of Communist Party of India (Marxist) led the protest.

However people withdrew the agitation after their representatives met the collector.

The Collector reportedly assured them that he would look in to the demand immediately and take action soon.
