Vice Admiral visits INS Parundu

RAMANATHAPURAM

Vice Admiral HCS Bisht, , Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Eastern Naval Command, Visakhapatnam, visited INS Parundu, the Indian Naval Air Station established near Uchipuli in the district, on Monday.

He was received by Rear Admiral Alok Bhatanagar, Flag Officer Commanding, Tamil Nadu & Puducherry Naval Area, and Capt. Kuldeep H. Tanksale, Station Commander, INS Parundu.

During an interaction with officers and sailors, Vice Admiral Bisht congratulated them for performing their duty with pride, alacrity and élan, a release from INS Parundu said.

Focussing on national security issues during the interaction, the Vice Admiral encouraged them to continue air operations to keep relentless vigil on international boundary in the sea.

Vice Admiral Bisht said that the geopolitical situation in area was in a state of flux and Indian Navy had to ensure maritime security of the nation in coordination with all stakeholders, the release said.
