Venue of Tamil conference announced

The CODISSIA (Coimbatore District Small Industries Association) Trade Fair Complex, regarded as the biggest trade fair complex in the country next to New Delhi’s Pragti Maidan, will be the venue of the World Classical Tamil Conference to be held in Coimbatore, in June next.

There are five halls in the complex, of which the extent of three halls is 1.1 lakh sq. feet. Two other halls account for 95,000 sq. ft. (The Hall E, measuring 40,000 sq.ft. is fully air-conditioned). Besides, the complex has 100 acres of land.

Chief Minister, M. Karunanidhi, who visited the site during his trip to Coimbatore last week, selected it for the Conference, according to an official release
