Vellore district gets 8 mm rain

Tiruvannamalai and surrounding places receive heavy rain

In the 24 hours ending 8 a.m. on Thursday, Vellore district received an average rainfall of 8.02 mm rainfall. Gudiyatham received the highest rainfall with 26.4 mm followed by Melalathur, 20.6 mm, and Vellore, 18.7 mm. Tirupattur, Ambur and Sholighur received rains.

Tiruvannamalai district received an average rainfall of 7.39 mm. Polur recorded the highest rainfall with 26.60 mm.

Other parts of the district such as Arni, 12 mm, Vandavasi, 5.30 mm and Chengam, 5 mm, received showers during the period, according to an official release.
