The District Science Centre here added one more attraction on Friday as it opened the ‘magic studio’ for explaining the manner in which images are captured in television magic serials.
Since most of the television serials being beamed in kids’ channels have attractive magic sequences, the District Science Centre has established a studio to explain the manner in which such scenes are being shot.
As the image to be captured is covered with the dress in the colour of its background, the viewers can see only the face and the limbs protruding from the dress while seeing the image on the television and not the entire body to give an illusion that the face and limbs are floating in air.
When the studio was inaugurated by S. Navaneetha Krishnan, Assistant Director, Doordharshan, in the presence of K.G. Kumar, Director, Viswesvaraya Industrial Technological Museum, Bangalore on Friday, the children enjoyed the image capturing technique a lot.
The fully air-conditioned studio has been established on an outlay of Rs. 24 lakh and the visitors can enjoy the show in the studio at 10.45 a.m., 1 p.m., 3.45 p.m. and 4.45 p.m.
