University inks pact to conduct IT programme

Bharathidasan University, in association with the ICT Academy of Tamil Nadu (ICTACT), will conduct a development programme on IT for administrative staff and faculty members of Bharathidasan University and affiliated colleges next month.

The objective is to take ICT tools through the participants to students of affiliated colleges in eight districts.

Course contents

The course contents consist of computer basics, internet basics, word processing, presentation tools, spreadsheets and tour on internet, Vice-Chancellor K. Meena said.

The learner-centric programme will serve as an eye opener for applying ICT tools for day-to-day administrative and academic activities.

In batches

The university had already conducted two programmes on dot-net and java in association with ICT Academy of Tamil Nadu.

The programme next month will be conducted for participants in several batches, the release added.
