Hundreds of people took part in a funeral procession

Union Minister P. Chidambaram paid homage to Kalaiselvi, wife of Union Minister of State V. Narayanasamy, here on Saturday.

A large number of Congressmen from Tamil Nadu and Puducherry visited the Union Minister’s house, where the body was kept for the public to pay homage.

Lieutenant Governor Virendra Kataria, Chief Minister N. Rangasamy, TNCC president B.S. Gnanadesikan, DMK treasurer M.K. Stalin, Member of Parliament Kanimozhi were among those who paid their respects. Hundreds of people took part in a funeral procession held on Saturday. N. Somasundaram, Mr. Narayanasamy’s son, lit the pyre at the Karuvadikuppam cremation ground.
