Two killed in road accidents

A 32-year-old manger of a coffee shop was killed after he lost control of his motorcycle and rammed into the parapet wall of Kasturinagar flyover in Ramamurthynagar in the early hours of Sunday.

The deceased, Isaki Das, a resident of Devasandra, was returning home after partying with friends.

No helmet

The police said that Isaki Das was manager at the Cafe Coffee Day outlet on Vittal Mallya Road. The police suspect that Isaki Das was drunk, and said that he was riding without helmet in a rash and negligent manner.

As soon as he reached Kasturinagar flyover, he lost control and rammed into the parapet wall, the police said, adding that the victim died on the spot.

The K.R. Puram police, who have registered a case, shifted the body to Bowring Hospital.

Pillion rider killed

In another accident, a 35-year-old woman riding pillion with her husband was killed when a Tamil Nadu-bound private bus knocked down their motorcycle on JC Road on Saturday.

The deceased has been identified as Pavai. Her husband, Nandakumar, sustained severe injuries.

The police said that the couple, residents of Yelahanka, own a vehicle seat cover stitching shop in Kogilu Cross and they had come to purchase material from a shop in JC Road.

They were returning home when the accident occurred.

The City Market traffic police have arrested the bus driver and seized the bus.
