Two killed in accidents

Two persons were killed in two different accidents here.

In the first case, a 32-year-old motorcyclist Shekar was killed after he rammed his bike into a stationary lorry near Bargur on Friday night. The victim along with his 37-year-old brother Thangavel as pillion was returning from Vellore, when the accident took place. Thangavel was admitted with grievous injuries to Krishnagiri government hospital.

In another incident, a 49-year-old farmer was hit and run by an unidentified vehicle on Saturday morning. The victim Muniappan of Kaveripattinam was crossing the road carrying a haystack to feed his livestock, when he was hit by a speeding vehicle. Muniappan was killed on the spot. Kaveripattinam police are investigating the case.
