Two killed in accidents

Two persons were killed in separate accidents here on Sunday.

The police said that Jyothi (30), who was riding pillion with her husband, died on the spot after their two-wheeler collided with an over-speeding lorry. Her husband, Suresh, escaped with minor injuries. The accident occurred around 10 p.m. near Tin Factory in K.R. Puram. The couple were returning to their house in Vidyaranyapura after meeting friends in Marthahalli.

A case of death caused by negligence has been registered at K.R. Puram and the police have seized the lorry. They have launched a manhunt for the driver.

In another accident, a pedestrian was killed on the spot after he was mowed down by a lorry at RMC Yard Market in Yeswantpur on Sunday. Natraj N. (45), an autorickshaw driver, was standing behind the lorry that was reversing.

A case has been registered.
