Two persons including a 9th standard student were electrocuted in separate incidents in the district. Police said M. Esakki Pandi (14) of Tharuvai under Munneerpallam police station limits was electrocuted when he tried to plug in the mobile phone charger on Wednesday night. Munneerpallam police have registered a case. In another incident, S. Annadurai (44) of Indra Colony in Puliyangudi suffered an electric shock when he operated the motor in his house on Thursday morning. He died on the way to the hospital.
